Highland Siege
A downloadable game for Windows
This is an active-time based strategy game inspired by two of my favorite old school strategy games, Civilization 1 and Age of Empires.
This game is fully playable, but is in ALPHA, so there will be bugs, but it is winnable. Please let me know if you find any issues and I would love to hear your feedback in the forum so that I can make it better, thanks!
See "how_to_play.txt" for game instructions and configuration settings.
Quick Start Guide:
- Click play.exe to compile and launch the game.
- The game starts in the world map view. From the world map you can click on one of your towns to go into the town menu or click on one of your military units to open the unit menu.
- Press [TAB] at any time to switch between selected towns and units.
- Most menus will close by clicking outside of the menu somewhere.
- Use [WASD] or [Arrow Keys] to scroll the map when outside a popup menu.
From the Town Menu you can build buildings, train and deploy units, and research technologies.
From the Units Menu you can move, attack, split/join groups, raze buildings, and enter cities.
Thanks!
Game includes source code and compiler so you can modify it if you want, have fun!
